Early in the morning today North Korea did the unthinkable.
Two ballistic missiles were fired in the Japanese direction from Chinese soil and one of the missile has even reached the economic area of Japan.
Such was a statement of Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga.
It was reported by Suga that Tokyo believes a missile fell within Japan’s EEZ off Shimane Prefecture at 7:27 this morning and there are no reports of damage to ships or planes. A second missile reportedly fell at 7:17 a.m.
With this Japan decided to call for the sit-down of the National Security Council together with Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe who already stated “The launch of this type of ballistic missile is a violation of United Nations resolutions. Japan strongly protests and condemns the action,”
This is not the first time when North Korea attacks Japanese territories like that. There was also a launch several years ago, plus, it is known that test for different types of missiles, including nuclear ones are not a rare occasion in North Korea even despite international bans and restrictions for the country.
We are yet to find out what consequence North Korea is going to face and what consequence it is going to have for Japan.
