What habits stay in the way of your success?

Let’s face it. None of us are perfect. We all have bad habits. The only difference is that while some habits are harmless, some of them truly stand in the way of our possible success in life.

And, I got to thinking. Since it is New Year, we have to get tough and get rid from at least some of them… ok, try and get rid. But. Before getting rid of them, we need to identify them. So, look out for the habits on the list that you may have.

1. TV.

Relaxing in front of the TV takes a lot of time from us after a day at work. And it also gives us nothing instead. And that can harm our development and progress. It is better to watch documentaries or lectures online.

2. Sleeping in.

Sleeping in is actually harmful for your productivity. You get up lazy and with no energy. And you have way less time for you plans for the day. Getting up early gives way more energy and time.

That being said, sleeping in can easily become your treat every once in a while.

3. Doubt.

Too many doubts are slowing your success down. How would you know whether you can be successful if you don’t even take the shot because of your doubts?

4. You refuse to take ALL advice.

Well, I have to admit, not all advice is good. And you have to know which one is going to be good for you personally. But there would be no successful people if no one would take any advice at all. Especially if it comes from a smart person.

5. Procrastination.

If you are avoiding set tasks you are never going to be successful. When you are stretching out the time you are scaring your success further and further away.

6. Fear of failure.

Fear to fail can always stand in the way of success. The more we do, the more the more we have the potential to fail. Although instead of looking at a fail as at a sign of your incompetence, it is better to look at it as a possibility to grow and develop. You can learn from your mistakes.

7. Wrong people around you.

If you are surrounded by aggressive and envious people their negativity can be reflected on you as well. Try and communicate with positive people who are going to push you to be the best version of yourself.

8. You are holding back

Success demands all of you. Just give your time table a stern look and think –what can you move around to start giving more time to your job and your success dream? It might be something simple that doesn’t really require a lot of effort, but you will become closer to your dream anyway.

Which of these do you make?
