A lot of people think that when you start trading you can leave your job because trading is going to be a financial support that you need and nothing else, but that is a sore mistake, as a lot of new traders have burned themselves on decisions like that.

Regardless of whether you are only thinking about going into forex trading or have already started with your demo account there is still a question on your mind – how much money do I need to start trading forex, right?

Well, your initial deposit will vary on the broker that you chose for your trading. There are standard sums. Most of the time the amount of initial investment in your account is somewhere around $200-$250. It is doubtful that at present moment you can find a broker who can ask for a smaller amount. Usually the bare minimum offers a trader low spreads and competitive leverage, so the more you invest in the beginning the better start you are going to have.

The golden rule of depositing in this case is do not invest more than you can afford to lose. That way you can ensure that in case of a loss you will have assets to fall on and that in time you are going to have enough in order to update your account.
