Lionel Messi set yet another record

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has drawn a double in quarterfinal game of the Spanish Cup against Leganes and set a new record.

The Argentinean became the first player in the history of Spanish football to win 500 club victories.

To achieve this, the attacker needed 710 duels.

The Argentinian has already scored 622 goals and 241 assists in all tournaments. The top 3 in terms of victories in Spanish football include Barcelona legend Xavi (482) and former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas (463).

The Catalans eventually beat Leganes 5-0.
